What is Chair Yoga?
Chair Yoga is a very accessible form of Yoga for all ages and abilities.
Very simply, we practice Yoga with the support of a chair.
It is particularly suitable for those who have limited mobility, or are recovering from injury or illness.
I have taught chair yoga to many men and women, one being 98 years old!
What are the benefits of Chair Yoga?
Breath practices for relaxation and rejuvenation
Gentle strength building in the legs, arms and core
Stretching and easing tight areas of the body
It is adaptable to your energy levels
A safe and accessible form Yoga
What to expect:
A breathing exercise and guided meditation
Warm up stretches and movements
A seated yoga flow to warm the joints, muscles and connective tissues
Strength building postures
Standing and balancing postures using the support of the chair (optional)
Relaxation and guided visualisation to finish
